Access control & formula confidentiality

Proprietary formulas and recipes are among the most sensitive data a kosher certification agency holds on behalf of its clients. Access Kosher protects them with granular, role-based access control that goes down to the field and formula level, so each person sees only what they are authorized to.

Granular, field- and formula-level permissions

Role-based permissions in Access Kosher are not all-or-nothing. Access can be controlled down to the field and formula level, so administrators, mashgichim, and certified companies each work in their own scope. A manufacturer’s confidential formulations stay visible only to the people who genuinely need them.

Separate workspaces for every role

Administrators, mashgichim, and clients each get a purpose-built workspace. Clients see their own companies, products, and certificates; mashgichim see the facilities and visits assigned to them; administrators see the full program. No one is exposed to data outside their role.

2FA and single sign-on (SSO)

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is supported for an added layer of account security, and organizations can enable single sign-on (SSO) to integrate with their existing identity provider and manage user access centrally.

Complete audit trail

Every account includes a complete audit trail that records who accessed or changed what, and when. Combined with data-integrity checks, this gives the office full oversight and accountability over sensitive certification data. Read more on the security and data handling page.
